Art Beyond Borders
Global Voices on Art, Migration, and Design
Virtual Panel Discussion October 7, 2025 | Zoom
Role: Co-host and Program Facilitator
Art Beyond Borders: Global Voices on Art, Migration, and Design is a virtual international panel bringing together graphic designers and artists from diverse cultural and geographic contexts to explore the intersections of migration, visual culture, and contemporary design practice.
The session examined how displacement, transnational identity, and cross-cultural experience shape creative methodologies and professional pathways within global design fields. Panelists shared their individual practices while reflecting on broader questions of artistic mobility, cultural exchange, and the evolving role of design in a globally connected world.
This program featured:
-
Sahar Maurice Haddad (Graphic and Interior Designer)
-
Nedim Kufi (Iraqi-Dutch Multidisciplinary Artist)
-
Hugo Carvalho (Graphic Designer and Educator)
The event was presented as part of an ongoing effort to foster international dialogue between emerging designers, educators, and practicing artists, and is documented here through the original recorded session and accompanying exhibition-style poster presentation.
